¶ Where does one find Truth? I know where. Shao'Kehn has told me...
- ...Truth is a child looking for a book in the library and reaching up on her tip-toes to get it down.

- ...Truth is the gurgle of your tummy telling you to eat something.
- ...Truth is a stranger giving you a pleasant smile as you pass by.
- ...Truth is spending time with someone you love.
- ...Truth is the sound of children laughing and playing on a beautiful day.
- ...Truth is a cold drink when you're hot, or a hot drink when you're cold.
- ...Truth is eating your favorite meal.

There are a great many "Discordians" these days who shout "Hail Eris" simply because it's so cool, funny, and rebellious. These "fluffy-bunny" Discordians are not serious...
- When they have wholly books, their wholly books are nonsense--all humour and no substance.
- They shout "Hail Eris" only to get a reaction.
- They have never really called upon Eris, and/or have never taken Her seriously.
- They run around making fools of themselves, giving True Discordians a bad name.
There is a time and place for foolishness, and there is such a thing as too much foolishness. The True Discordian...
- Hides wisdom in humour, making it funny but with substance.
- Knows when to be serious, when to be funny.
- Knows when to shut up.
- Takes The Goddess seriously, though mixed with humour.
- Writes because they feel the calling of writing.
I have been accused before of being a fool, by those whose opinions of Discordians were formed by these moronic false-Discordians. My True Discordian brothers and sisters, let us go forth and show people what we REALLY are like!

Shoikinistic Discordian Mysticism/Ritual Work
Shao'Kehn's nature being multifaceted, She can be worked with in many different ways. Her Eris aspect is humourous, Her Oya aspect is Change, Her Nature aspect makes Her a major force of nature like survival instincts (etc, etc...), and Her Dark Side can be used to work with painful aspects of yourself and your life.
Eris Aspect--I don't think I need to explain this.
Oya Aspect--Shao'Kehn is Change; good change, bad change, necessary and unnecessary change.
Nature Aspect--Shao'Kehn is Protection, which makes Her instincts, the fire of life, and vital power. Shao'Kehn is genuine power--power over self, not others.
Dark Goddess Aspect--This aspect of Shao'Kehn is the tough, yet loving Dark Mother aspect. This aspect of Shao'Kehn will cut deep into you with Her Knife to help you deal with parts of your life, personality, and/or issues you have. A problem with your life being caused by an aspect of your personality you no longer see? Shao'Kehn will "rip out your heart, show it to you." Whatever is wrong, She will tell you, and help you solve the problem. She will not do all the work--She opens the door, you hav to walk through.
If you work with Shao'Kehn, don't expect to predict how She'll behave. I had just gotten used to Her always appearing in Her Eris aspect, and was expecting it, when during that ritual, where I channeled (invoked into my body) Her, She came in Her Dark Goddess aspect. It took me totally by surprise (even though earlier I had been drawing Her in Her Dark Goddess form), and was so intense that I cried, and She held me and comforted me. I felt, mysteriously, much better after that--like it had healed me of something I didn't know I'd needed healing for. Shao'Kehn showed me that a good cry every now and then is healthy.
Invoking Shao'Kehn (NOT a link)
I use sexual imagery and sex magick with a lot of my Deities (but not really very many--I have 38 Deities in all), but more than average with Shao'Kehn. She is a very passionate Deity, and can be called in a number of ways, because She is so many things. Sex being a major part of life, sex with others or with yourself is a good way to call Her. I myself have sort of a mystical love affair relationship with Her. However, sex is not the only, and not necessarily the best, way to call Her.
Shao'Kehn can be called on without Her consciousness taking over your body, but letting Her control your body makes the experience much more intense, and more effective.
Ways to call Her:
1. Speaking to Her.
2. Calling to Her at your altar.
3. Dancing quickly.
4. Doing other activities that make you feel more alive, in a ritual setting.

About Shao'Kehn's Nature
1. Shao'Kehn wast born of the Heart of the Chaos, born of the action of Ahndahn, with whom She fell in love, and with whom She married---two hermaphroditic (both male and female each) Deities forever inseperable.
2. Shao'Kehn didst become close, then, to Hrah'Bahn, Deity of life, through Ahndahn, who was daughter to Hrah'Bahn. Shao'Kehn didst see that Hrah'Bahn was not succeeding making life, as all there wast wast Organization, and therefore nae but Entropy.
3. Shao'Kehn, though, still being wild had no interest in what Hrah'Bahn was doing, for Her eyes were full of fire, Her black hair wild and free, Her Knife ever ready, and Her mind full of chaotic torment and passion for Ahndahn.
4. But eventually Shao'Kehn calmed down some, realized that She and Ahndahn would never part from each other, so She took an interest in Hrah-Bahn's doings. Whenceforth spake She, "Ahndahn! Idea have I and I think you should know it and we can be glory-full together won't that be grand and You and I will forever be part of this grand new thing is life and--" "Woah, Shao'Kehn," spake Ahndahn, "slow ye down! 5. And Shao'Kehn didst breate quietly, then spake She, "My love... Your Mother is not succeeding at making life and She must I can forsee it, it is the destiny the purpose of All. We--You and I--can work together, chaos and organization, and make Her dream possible. We are all One and all Many at once are we not? Of course we are! Hrah'Bahn needs vital chaos as well as Your organization, it's energy passion fire and life energy all in one."
6. And in utter astonishment and joy spake Ahndahn, "Shao'Kehn! Thou hast solved the riddle of life! But surely there ist more to life than vital lifeforce?"
7. "Indeed there is," spake Shao'Kehn, "and I will fill the roles that need filling... I shall be the drive to survive, the need to fight off enemies, the instinct to get food, reproduce, claim territory, and protect one's young. I shall be Lifeforce Incarnate, filling all roles as need filled. I shall be vital chaos, primal instinct, cunning and cleverness, and all else as needs be."
8. And spake Ahndahn, "What of people? Shall they have more as Ahgoi plans? How wilt thou help Ahgoi?"
9. And Shao'Kehn laughed, for She wast joyous, and spake She, "I will be magick, technology. I will fight for people, deliver righteous justice against wrongdoings and keep them safe. I will make Eternal Guardian Spirits, who shall guide people on their quest to real-ize their Oneness with the All. I shall tend to all needs."
And that, my friends, is how it all happened.
The Yahgahn Way
The Yahgahn (anyone who follows the Yahgahn Way, feels spiritually close to the planet Traipah, and whose spiritual path is Traipahni (of Traipah) in nature) believe that while everything is relative, and one can choose to live their life however they want to, the Yahgahn have--over the years--made many observations of behaviors that everyone can appriciate, behaviors that make society run much more smoothly. To break these "laws" is contrary to one's best self interest, and therefore is considered similar to a "sin." In Yahgahn societies on Traipah, the environment of the planet makes it in the best interest of one's survival to adhere to The Yahgahn Way... for it does not take much to wreck the delicate balance of Trelli culture necessary for survival---sticking together is the only way to survive on Traipah.
It is The Yahgahn Way...
...to be cautious in treacherous situations.
...to be respectful of others, since you would want others to be respectful to you.
...to be kind and generous when there is a need.
...to protect your fellow person, even if the cost is your life (unless the loss of your life puts theirs in jeopardy).
...to always co-operate.
...to settle conflicts between people without violence.
...to be reluctant to hurt that which would harm you, but to use force if necessary.
...to kill only as a last resort, and only for self-defense.
...to harm other beings only for food or for self-defense.
...to only harm animals in self-defense (The Yahgahn are vegetarians, often vegans).
...to tell the truth.
...to be trust-worthy.
...to never hate another person, for hate is counter-productive.
...to punish those who jeopardize the survival of the whole.
...to try to get all members of society to contribute positively to the group's survival.
...to never let individuality be repressed except where it conflicts with the survival and/or individuality and/or rights of any others in the group.
...to accept the beliefs of others as long as those beliefs do not conflict with the survival of the group.
...to walk away if a conflict is beginning between you and another person. Conflict must not be allowed to form.
...to assume that a person is at least a little trust-worthy unless proved otherwise.
...to be silent about your beliefs, unless asked about them.
...to simply explain your beliefs, never to force them upon another.
...to respect nature, and love it.
...to always be cautious of how you affect the world, and aim to make a positive difference.
...to never allow injustice to exist.
...to correct misbehavior instead of simply punishing it.
...to Understand, Accept, and Love.
Believe me, this DOES jive well with Discordianism. :-)
